Hi, I'm Charlie (they/them). I've been making art since I was two years old. I like designing characters and telling stories. My preferred medium is whatever works best for the piece, but, I have the most experience with illustration, fiction writing, and analog mixed media collage. I am disabled, semiverbal autistic, and bipolar. I love to learn new things, and though it's hard with the limitations in my life, I'm still trying. Thank you for visiting my website.
I will try to keep the site generally organized as I learn to code the look I want. My new and completed artworks will live in the gallery, along with their relevant information like medium, date, and description.
My blog will be more informal, containing both updates on my research and projects, and personal thoughts and things. I plan to make it possible to view the posts in various orders using tags and filters. I will post there about political topics, as I am a politicized individual, and Leftist.
The archive is where I'll upload resources: anything I think could be useful to someone else. It's very sad to me that I won't have time to learn everything I want to learn; I think public access to and conservation of information is more important now than ever, and I want to contribute to the effort to archive information and content that could otherwise be lost. Right now, I plan to upload a variety of screenshots and behind-the-scenes features from my DVD collection, as well as subtitles that can be downloaded for use with DVDs and digital files that don't have them.
True accessibility will be achieved when no one has to argue for their right to pleasure. Entertainment should be accessible. Public spaces should be accessible, and that includes the internet. And I think we all have a responsibility to contribute what we can to equity. It's important to me that my site and work are accessible-feel free to contact me with feedback and suggestions.
